Frequently asked questions

What is the Reliability Maturity Index?
The RMI is a structured assessment that scores your maintenance and reliability program across five domains — planning, execution, materials management, data & analytics, and culture — producing an overall maturity score and a maturity level from Reactive through Optimized.
Is the QuickScan really free?
Yes. The QuickScan tier is a free, 15-question assessment. No credit card is required to start or to see your results.
Do I need an SMMS account to take the assessment?
No. The RMI runs on its own account system, separate from the SMMS maintenance management platform. You can complete an assessment without ever creating a tenant account.
How is my data used?
Individual assessment content — your scores, responses, and evidence — is never shared with anyone else. Benchmark comparisons only ever show anonymized, aggregated peer statistics, and only once at least five peer organizations exist in your segment.
