We built SMMS because we were the ones running the spreadsheets. We're a small team making maintenance operations measurably better — by shipping what we'd use ourselves and iterating with the teams that use it every day.
We've lived
the problem.
SMMS started in October 2025 because we were tired of CMMS platforms that looked like they were last updated when we were in school. We'd wrestled with the legacy tools — the data entry, the dead reports, the mobile apps that didn't work in a plant — and decided to build something better.
We've spent time on the floor: managing assets, scheduling PMs, chasing down parts at 2 AM during emergency repairs. We know what works and what doesn't because we've lived it. That's the bar SMMS is built to.
Today SMMS holds both a SOC 2 Type I and a SOC 2 Type II report, independently examined by Advantage Partners against the Security trust services criteria. We're shipping for maintenance teams in manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and beyond — and the roadmap is shaped by the people who actually use the product.

Core platform shipped — work orders, ISO 14224 asset hierarchy, mobile execution, and tenant-isolated multi-tenancy from day one.
Reliability & AI
RCFA, FMEA, MTBF/MTTR analytics, and Elisa — the action-taking AI assistant for maintenance teams.
SOC 2 Type II
Completed SOC 2 Type I and Type II examinations with Advantage Partners under the AICPA SOC for Service Organizations framework. The Type II report covers the Security trust services category over a three-month observation window.
